What Happens on your 1st Treatment

When you visit Jackie for the first time you will be allocated one hour. A full case history will be taken, including what you have come to see her about but also a medical history to ensure that it is safe to treat you. Please bring a note of any medication that you take, including herbal & aromotherapy.

You will then be given an examination. You will normally be asked to remove your upper clothing down to your underwear and to perform a simple series of movements. A screen is available for you to undress & dress behind. You will be covered with a towel most of the time, with just the area to be examined and treated available for Jackie to examine and treat. If you do not wish to undress to your underwear then please let Jackie know.

Jackie will then use a highly developed sense of touch, called palpation, to identify any points of weakness or excessive strain throughout the body.

Jackie may need additional investigations such as x-ray or blood tests. This will allow a full diagnosis and suitable treatment plan to be developed for you.

You have the right to refuse any particular examination or treatment.

You can bring along a friend or family member to accompany you in the treatment room.

You are encouraged to ask questions at any stage.

Please see other pages for information on prices and treatment times.
